• Fast and Flexible: Need a quick sync with a colleague? Huddles eliminate the need to schedule a formal meeting or have lengthy email exchanges. Simply start a huddle and get things done in real-time.
• Audio-First, But Versatile: Huddles prioritize audio for quick discussions, but you can easily add video or screen sharing if needed. This allows for seamless multitasking while staying connected.
• Reduces Meeting Fatigue: Say goodbye to endless video calls! Huddles provide a lighter, more focused way to collaborate, reducing meeting fatigue and increasing efficiency.
• Seamless Integration: Huddles are built right into Google Chat, so you can start them directly from your conversations without switching apps.

How to Use Huddles:

• Find the Video Icon: The Meet video button has moved to the Chat header. From there, you can start a huddle, a call, or share a Meet link.
• Start Huddling: In any direct message, group message, or space, click the Video icon and select “Start a huddle.”
• Join a Huddle: When someone starts a huddle, you’ll see a chat chip in the thread. Click “Join” to enter the huddle.

Availability:

Huddles are rolling out to all Google Workspace users, including Business, Enterprise, Frontline, Essentials, and Nonprofits editions.
